Paula Smith

Paula Smith is a Colposcopy Clinical Nurse Specialist at the John Radcliffe Hospital.
Paula was nominated by a service user who said:
"I was invited to the John Radcliffe for a diagnostic procedure and possible treatment and was extremely worried about it. Previous experience of similar procedures left me very anxious and nervous.
"I was given Paula's details and was able to talk through my concerns. Initially I felt that I would need a general anaesthetic, but Paula provided me with such reassurance and support that I was able to have the procedure and treatment under local anaesthetic.
"Paula stands out like a shining beacon and sets a perfect example to us all. I hope she realises what a positive and lasting impact she had on me."
