Miranda Jewell, based at the Chipping Norton Midwifery-led Unit (also known as the Cotswold Birth Centre), was celebrated with a DAISY Award after receiving a nomination from a mother (and her family) she supported through labour.

The mother, who has hearing difficulties, said: "Miranda really went above and beyond her duty of care throughout my pregnancy. Miranda was exceedingly caring and understanding, going to extra effort to put me at ease and make sure my care was accessible."

The father added: "Miranda very much went the extra mile and provided incredible care."

Andrew Carter, Deputy Chief Nursing Officer, was joined by nursing and midwifery colleagues to surprise Miranda with her certificate and other goodies.

Huge congratulations to Miranda and thank you for all that you do to deliver compassionate excellence at #OneTeamOneOUH!
