Mondays to Thursdays, excluding Bank Holidays
There are five appointment slots. All patients are booked at 1.30pm.
Fridays
There are three appointment slots. All patients are booked at 12.00 noon.
Staff
The Clinic staff includes:
- care support worker
- sonographer
- obstetrics and gynaecology registrar

Patients should be given a referral letter or notes should be sent to clinic prior to appointment.
Referral criteria
All patients must have a recent positive pregnancy test.
Patients under sixteen weeks gestation with:
- threatened miscarriage
- abdominal pain and positive pregnancy test
- previous ectopic pregnancy and a positive pregnancy test
- have had no fetal heart heard by sonicaid >15/40
Patients with suspected ectopic pregnancy should be referred directly through the on-call gynaecology registrar as an emergency.
Exclusions
Patients who arrive and have a negative pregnancy test will be referred back to their GP.
Patients who have had a previous ectopic pregnancy and now have a positive pregnancy test are not to be referred to EPAC / Urgent Gynaecology Clinic. Their GP is to refer them to Maternity Ultrasound for a routine early scan at seven weeks' gestation.
