The Specialist Nurses in Organ Donation provide:
- a 24 hour service facilitating organ donation
- an impartial service offering the information that donor families need in order to make an informed choice about donation
- an open and honest approach to families whilst discussing donation and consent issues
- support for donor families
- guidance and advice on donor management to clinical areas
- support for all members of staff that are involved with organ donation
- education packages that are centred on individual hospitals' needs
- public education, through teaching and supporting publicity.
We cover all hospitals within the South Central region.
