AO runs a Trauma Fellowship Programme which provides an educational experience to promising young surgeons to learn from a global community of orthopaedic trauma surgeons.
Each fellow typically spends six to eight weeks at an internationally-renowned centre of excellence.
Oxford Trauma Service is one of only six centres in the UK which hosts international AO Fellows.
Centres are selected to host fellows where they have a strong pedigree in surgical innovation and training and have a sufficient qualified AO instructors amongst the consultant team.
Typically, we host four fellows a year; each to broaden their understanding and experience of novel techniques and surgical strategies.
