About us
We focus on what matters to you and offer a range of support methods to help you plan for:
- giving up smoking
- becoming more active
- eating a healthy diet
- reducing alcohol intake
- self-care for general wellbeing.
We tailor your consultation to your individual needs, to make it as easy as possible to adopt small, sustainable and realistic lifestyle changes to improve your health and wellbeing.
We have a wide range of resources and can help you access a variety of community services, including free stop smoking and weight management support.
We also offer online group support sessions for people diagnosed with Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD).

Our Here for Health team
Emma Hagues
Emma is a qualified Health and Wellbeing Physiologist and was part of the initial team who set up and developed the Here for Health Centre in 2014.
She has a wealth of experience in supporting individuals to self-manage their health and wellbeing.
When it comes to healthy lifestyles Emma is passionate about listening to what matters to people and supporting individuals to make the choices that are right for them.

Christine McBride-Cowell
Christine has a background (BSc + MSc) in Clinical Exercise Physiology and previously worked in the OUH cardiac rehabilitation team.
She completed her Public Health Practitioner Registration in 2020 and is passionate about reducing health inequalities and empowering people to feel confident to make lifestyle changes to improve and support their health and wellbeing.
She also has interest in behaviour change strategies and the benefits of utilising these skills to optimise patient interactions.

Catherine McNeill
Catherine has completed an MSc in Applied Human Nutrition. This wide-ranging course highlights the impact that lifestyle habits and environment, as well as nutrition and food choices, can have on personal and public health.
Catherine is fascinated by the effects that planning and the built environment can have on people's everyday decisions around travel and leisure activities. She is committed to enabling people to make conscious choices and decisions, thereby finding their way to become better versions of themselves.

Rebekah Menon
Rebekah has completed an MSc in Human Nutrition with specialisation in Public Health from the University of Glasgow.
She has an interest in research and likes to explore evidence-based data and practices to ensure she provides effective care. Her ambition is to champion the people she works with so that they can sustain a healthy lifestyle.

Amanda Morbey
Amanda graduated with a first class BSc Nutrition degree from Oxford Brookes University in 2021. The course focused on evidence-based learning, and how to practically apply topics such as sport and exercise nutrition, behaviour change strategies, sustainable weight management and healthy eating at different stages of life.
Amanda is a Registered Associate Nutritionist (ANutr) with the Association for Nutrition.
Amanda is passionate about supporting people to access healthy and enjoyable lifestyle opportunities that work best for them.

Jonathan Jenkinson
Jon has been working at OUH since 2013 and has a background in data analysis and reporting, as well as team management.
In his current role, he is responsible for helping to take forward and monitor the Trust's smoke free agenda.

Amy Preece
Amy has worked for the Trust since 2019 on the Urology Ward before joining the Here for Health team in 2023.
She is passionate about helping people to decide what changes they would like to make and supporting them in their choices, including those with more complex comorbidities and those who may find accessing healthcare more difficult.
Amy feels it is an important part of her role to make sure staff on the inpatient wards feel supported by the Tobacco Dependency Service and understand its importance.

Cherrie Hung
Cherrie has a Psychology BSc and Health Psychology MSc, and is currently undertaking her Professional Doctorate in Health Psychology.
She worked for the NHS for five years within mental health settings before joining the Here for Health Team. Cherrie is passionate about bringing evidence-based psychological approaches to the Tobacco Dependency Team and supporting patients.
