Osteoporosis (thinning of the bones) is a common condition affecting 50 percent of women and 20 percent of men over the age of 55.
The Metabolic Bone Unit / Oxfordshire Osteoporosis Service at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre (NOC) provides a general metabolic bone clinic with the services of an Endocrinologist, Rheumatologist and Nnurse Specialists.
The Oxfordshire Osteoporosis Service at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre also serves as a countywide hub for osteoporosis care in the community. Peripheral clinics are held in key primary locations.
