There are various reasons why patients present to the Limb Reconstruction Team for advice or treatment.
Some of the more common conditions include:
- bone infection (osteomyelitis)
- limb deformity (congenital, malunited fractures, rickets, Paget's, Blount's, absent rays, growth plate problems)
- non-healing fractures
- limb length discrepancy
- bone tumour surgery
