This Luminex assay is used to monitor IgG responses to the Prevnar and Pneumovax vaccines, primarily in those suspected of immunodeficiency. Samples should ideally be tested pre- and post- vaccination. The serotypes available are 1, 3, 4, 5, 6b, 7F, 9V, 14, 18c, 19A, 19F and 23F which are in both the Pneumovax and Prevnar vaccines.
