Laboratory open: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm

There is no out-of-hours service.

Clinic-based FNA service

  • Mondays in the Churchill Hospital outpatient departments and wards.
  • Wednesday in ENT Outpatients, West Wing, John Radcliffe Hospital.

Histopathology (John Radcliffe Hospital)

Laboratory open: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm

  • General tissue samples
  • Autopsy

Out of hours on-call service available only for:

  • urgent renal specimens
  • small bowel transplant specimens
  • (by arrangement with the relevant Consultant Pathologist), critical emergency work at other times.

All out-of-hours work must be discussed with the relevant Pathologist our team prior to accessing the service.

Histopathology (Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre)

Laboratory open: Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4.30pm / Friday 7.30am - 4.00pm

  • Soft tissue
  • Osteoarticular
